Abstract

According to the 2011 census data, there are 1384 segregations at 709 Hungarian settlements. At those settlements, which are – in statistical determination – less developed, roma people make up a larger part of the population. Their disadvantageous situation comes from many factors such as social and health problems, permanent unemployment and lack of income, low educational level, and lack of infrastructure and services as well.
The inherited disadvantages – which are accumulating from generation to generation – and social inequalities require complex intervention for the sake of decreasing these factors. In order to wind up these marginalised persons’ life situations, there have been other interdisciplinary grants in the past few years. EFOP 1.6.2 titled grant - which is an ESF construction – was made to continue these generative programmes.
