Quality Assurance Considerations for Institutions of Dual Training System

Abstract

The new regulations of vocational training require the implementation of quality assurance system, or at least the compliance with relevant quality criteria for all institutions with dual training system. It is yet to be decided, taking the capacity of the training institutions into consideration, what quality criteria should be defined in order to improve the quality without significantly increasing the administrative burden.
As a result of the new Act on vocational education there is a good chance that quality considerations will become more prevalent. There is also a danger, however, that the emphasis will be on administration instead of real improvement. Consequently, Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has a major responsibility to lay the foundations for a system that can work in a balanced way.
