Abstract

Never before seen opportunities arose for Hungarian tertiary education institutions in 2008 when within the framework of the New Hungary Development Plan a call was released as the 4th priority of the Social Renewal Operative Programme supporting the creation and development of technology and knowledge transfer activities. The project SROP-4.2.1./08/1-2008-0004 “3T: Technology and Knowledge Transfer in the University Knowledge Bases of the South-Transdanubian Region” was handed in by the University of Pécs Technology Transfer Office with the collaboration of the University of Kaposvár.
The irrefutable results of the project are the foundation and strengthening of the technology transfer organization in both universities, legal protection of intellectual property, and the practice of IP and R+D+I management. Innovation approach and academy-industry relations also improved significantly.
