Abstract
The study attempts to summarize the main strategic directions towards the social inclusion of the multiply disadvantaged and marginalized Roma minority of Romania, as well as the related major areas of intervention and the obligations of the government. The Roma inclusion programs are illustrated by a case study, highlighting the main activities and findings of a complex, multidimensional research project on employment. It was implemented within the framework of the Hungary-Romania Cross-Border Co-operation Programme 2007-2013 by cooperation between the Partium Christian University of Oradea, Romania and the Human Developers' Association of Debrecen, Hungary.
