Abstract

The situation of pregnant women who use substances is highly complex, as they often face not only addiction but also stigmatisation, psychological disorders and housing difficulties. In addition, they frequently live in abusive family or intimate partner environments. The aim of this study is, through interviews with experts, to examine the characteristics of substance-using pregnant women and the opportunities for support available to them within the social welfare system.
