Abstract

Citing Guardini, the Holy Father draws attention to the phenomenon of possessive knowledge and contemplative knowledge. While the model of possessive knowledge builds a false anthropology in terms of the postmodern age and transhumanism, contemplative knowledge seeks to find the true value and meaning of the world. This study aims to illustrate the challenges of the postmodern era, the perils of transhumanism and the true role and mission of Catholic higher education in the light of Pope Francis’ thoughts.
