Abstract

One of the greatest moral challenges for the 21st century individual is to preserve their humanity in an increasingly mechanized, digital world and prevent their soul from alienating itself from truly important matters. Pope Francis' speech during his visit to the Pázmány Péter Catholic University Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics can serve as a compass for anyone embarking on the path of self-discovery. Reflecting on these thoughts raises awareness of the individual's transcendent connection to their own soul, enabling us to think of ourselves and others as empathetic, breathing human beings. It is crucial to reassess our relationship with technology, avoiding being guided by fear or excessive greed in our actions, as these lead us down the wrong path. Navigating and exploring these thoughts is the task of today's individuals.
