Résumé

In this paper I tried to describe some phonological and morphological aspects of English loanwords in Portuguese. I observed 631 anglicisms of the Dicionário da Língua Portuguesa (Porto Editora, 1998, 8th edition). The adaptation of the English words has produced some modifications in Portuguese phonological and morphological systems.
