Résumé

The paper investigates Hans-Georg Gadamer's dialogical theory of interpretation within the context of his philosophical hermeneutics. In analyzing the dialogical character of understanding, he elaborates the openness required in order that the possibly true opinion of the texts to be understood can be effective. The study also delineates the moral dimension of Gadamer's analysis that is implicit in the interpretation as the recognition of the other.
