Quelques remarques sur les traits caractéristiques du récit de voyage de Martin Kukučín Impressions de France

Resumen

The study outlines the factographic extralinguistic context of the selected parts of chapters 21 and 22 of the travel story Impressions from France by the Slovak writer Martin Kukučín. It analyzes the conceptualization by the author of the literary text in selection of cultural facts about history of France and contemporary life particularly in Paris in the twenties of twentieth century from a Central European perspective. It focuses on the author’s typical approach in textual construction combining historical facts, the author’s subjective points of view, and the description of everyday life in the streets of Paris, positively emphasizing the French people, their country and history.
