Abstract
The study defines what we can call the current educational paradigm, and what premises it can be traced back to. Its character is defined by three characteristics: progressivity, the need for universal access, and the principle of learning outcomes in the education.
The paper shows how the Catholic Church’s vision and messages on education since the Second Vatican Council are related to these.
