Abstract
Based on the experience of recent years it is well known, that changes in the public education system have an impact on the number of students in school, their educational attainment, and thus their social integration and employment, and these factors are associated with early school leaving (Fehérvári, 2008; Kertesi & Kézdi, 2010; Liskó, 2003; Mártonfi, 2014). The education system and the changes in the system in all EU Member States have a major impact on the early school leaving rate (Fehérvári, Paksi & Széll, 2021). Reducing early school leaving without the proper education is a major challenge for EU Member States, including Hungary (Imre, Révész & Pajtókné, 2018; Europa, 2020). In my study, I want to show the links between changes in the domestic public education system and early school leaving.
